About Southern Wake Wrath

• ​Founded in the fall of 2014, SWWrath was a 10u team consisting of Apex Parks and Rec players (2 current members are original Wrath players) and the organization evolved to consist of a high school team in the spring of 2015 with players from across North Carolina.  The high school team went on to win several tournaments, place 3rd in the High School “A” bracket of USSSA States only being together for one season. Several of these players went on to play collegiate ball; Division II, Division III and Junior College levels. Since this time we have created a strong 05/06 team that has been growing, developing and evolving into a strong contender in all sanctions and we have also given the opportunity for various age groups (currently a 12u team) to create a Wrath team to play at the next level.

• Current coaching staff consists of a hitting/defensive coach, a pitching/catching/defensive coach and a defensive/base running coach.  All coaches have experience coaching travel ball at various levels and have attended several coach trainings. One of our coaches played Division II collegiate softball and coached middle and high school teams.

• We play a minimum of 8 tournaments in the spring, generally concluding with a trip to Pony Nationals in July and we play a minimum of 6 tournaments in the fall.

• Practices are two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday in Apex and on Saturdays as well if we do not have a tourney.  In the off season we have an indoor facility for hitting and pitching that is open to all players and their families in addition to 3 day a week practices.

• We are committed to making the athletes not just stronger players but stronger women on and off the field.

• We are a 501-3c, meaning we are a tax exempt organization that can provide receipts to individuals or companies that donate funds or equipment to us.
