

COACHES
The coaching staff of the Wrath has many years of coaching and playing experience. Each coach is a student of the game and participates in relevant trainings for safety, coaching and inclusion.

Deana O'Connor
HS Head Coach
Coach Deana is a lifelong player and learner of fast pitch. She has played since the age of five (rec, travel, HS and DII) and coached since the age of 18 (rec, travel and HS). In college she was team captain and mvp as well as the runs scored leader for 2 years. She understands the game, the development of players and the heart that goes into making the young ladies successful.

Don Frame
HS Assistant Coach
What started out as a volunteer rec coaching position for his daughters, Coach Don has become a passionate offensive coach for travel ball. He studies the game, watches endless amounts of game film and has attended several coaching clinics. Coach Don’s love of the game can only be matched by his passion for developing strong, well rounded players.

Matthew McAlister
Manager and Assistant Coach
Coach Matt is the founder of Southern Wake Wrath. He is a lifelong sports enthusiast with a personal player background in baseball and football. As a former coach of pop warner football, women’s soccer and a current coach of fast pitch, coach Matt is focused on the fundamentals of his athletes and developing players that have a passion for the game.

Victoria O'Connor
Assistant Coach and Marketing Manager
Victoria is a former player on the 2015 Southern Wake Wrath 18u team. She has played softball since the age of five and has played on travel teams from 10U to 18U where she played shortstop and left field. During her later softball years she began assisting coaching the Wrath at the age of 16. Now, she has become a seasonal coach as she is attending college at Temple University. For the past four years she has taken on the marketing for the organization where she creates and updates the organization website and social media accounts.
